Overview
We operate an industry-recognized Demand-Side Platform (DSP) called the OPENTURBO DSP. Our technology enables advertisers and their agencies to plan, buy, and manage digital advertising campaigns across websites, mobile applications, audio, connected television (CTV), and other video platforms. These campaigns help fund the free content and services you enjoy.
We and our clients use data to deliver more relevant advertisements to you and to measure, analyze, and report on the performance of advertising campaigns.
Our Platform may also create device mapping graphs to associate devices that appear to be used by the same individual or household. This helps advertisers reach their intended audience more accurately and reduces ad repetition.
References to "our Platform" in this policy refer only to OPENTURBO Media's own advertising technology platform.
Who We Are
The Data We Collect and Process
We do not intentionally collect directly identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers through real-time bidding (RTB) transactions.
We may process the following pseudonymous or device-related data:
- Unique cookie identifiers and device identifiers
- Mobile advertising identifiers (e.g., IDFA, GAID)
- Pseudonymous identifiers derived from email addresses, phone numbers, or other connection data
- IP addresses
- Web browsing history observed through advertising impressions
- Inferred interest categories based on browsing activity
- Interest segments provided by clients or partners
- Approximate location information
- Browser and device type, version, and settings
- Hashed email addresses or phone numbers (where provided by clients or partners)
How We Collect Data
Data is collected through:
- Bid requests received from ad exchanges, SSPs, and publishers
- Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies
- Data uploaded or provided by clients and partners
- Data collected during the delivery and measurement of advertisements
Cookies and Cookie Syncing
Our primary cookie domain is aoimktai.com. This cookie helps us recognize browsers and devices over time across different sites and store information necessary for the advertising services described in this policy. The cookie has a lifespan of up to 1 year from the last time you received an ad served through our Platform.
We participate in cookie syncing with clients and partners to enable the exchange of pseudonymous identifiers for advertising purposes. We also use cookies to record your opt-out preference if you choose to opt out of targeted advertising.
Purposes for Processing Data
We process data (on our own behalf and on behalf of our clients) for the following advertising-related purposes:
- Delivering and personalizing advertisements
- Limiting the frequency of ads shown to you
- Measuring and reporting on ad campaign effectiveness
- Attributing actions (such as purchases) to advertisements
- Building device graphs to associate related devices
- Detecting and preventing fraud, invalid traffic, or malicious activity
- Improving our Platform and services
Some of these activities may be considered "targeted advertising," "sales," or "sharing" of personal information under applicable privacy laws.
Personalization and Interest-Based Advertising
We may create pseudonymous profiles associated with cookie or device identifiers based on the content you view, your device type, approximate location, and response to ads. These profiles help us and our clients infer broad interest categories (e.g., sports, travel, fashion).
Clients may also upload their own first-party data to the Platform for use in their campaigns, subject to our contractual restrictions (we prohibit sensitive data categories and data known to relate to children).
We do not create individual-level profiles through our "group interest" mechanism. Any group-level insights are derived from aggregated data and retained for a short period.
Disclosure and Transfer of Data
We disclose data only in the ways described below:
- To clients and partners for advertising purposes (including bid request data and device mapping information)
- To other advertising technology providers for cookie syncing
- To service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, fraud detection)
- To investigate fraud or illegal activity
- To a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
- In aggregated or de-identified form
- When required by law or valid government request
We do not sell personal data in the traditional sense outside of the "sale/sharing" definitions under privacy laws.
